DrupalCon London: Drooter away…

DrupalCon London 2011 objective: offer sponsor support to the Drupal community, create business contacts, gain a great deal of technical knowledge and stand out through our marketing. We certainly succeeded! The recurring theme in this story is the “Drooter”, our Drupal Scooter...

Gold sponsor
In order to support the Drupal community, and to strengthen our visibility and brand awareness on a European level, Ausy/DataFlow was present at the trade fair as a Gold Sponsor. Given the central location and the increased interest in Drupal, the turnout was a success by any yardstick: 1,750 Drupal members were present and... just 1 Drooter. Read more...

Business
The majority of those present were developers and themers, but there was also additional importance placed on business sessions and project management this time. More and more decision makers are showing an interest in Drupal and are looking for partners with whom to start up their projects. Marketing
One "pimped out and chromed out" Drupal Scooter, aka the Drooter, and one Stig. That’s all you need to stand out at DrupalCon. For this occasion we put a cool Drupal airbrush coat on a respectable electric (we think green!) scooter and transformed one of our colleagues (who wishes to remain anonymous!) into the Stig. Our Drooter contest was born. Photos, videos and other “incriminating” evidence can be found at drupal.dataflow.be. Check it out!

The scooter was won by the Belgian company DUO from Bruges. Dataflow even got mentioned in their blog: click here
