The AUSY Group reinforces its presence in Germany

Present in Germany for over two years through a partnership with the EDAG Group, the AUSY Group reinforces its geographical presence and technical offer in the Aeronautics sector by acquiring via its German subsidiary 51% of the ELAN GmbH company.

This company, a subsidiary of the German EDAG Group, has been associated with the AUSY Group since 2009 through a joint-venture, set up to serve the European Aeronautics market.

With a staff of nearly 200 for a 2010 Turnover of over € 25m, ELAN is widely known for its technical skills (notably in mechanical engineering for the calculation and design of aircraft elements) and its ability to handle complex projects.

Present mainly in Germany, ELAN also enhances AUSY’s Toulouse Hub and contributes to the Group’s international expansion with a presence in Spain.

This acquisition strengthens the ties between the AUSY and EDAG Groups (€628m Turnover for a staff of over 6,000), and enables both geographical and technical new common development goals.

With nearly 30% of its activity stemming from the Aeronautics / Defense / Space sector, AUSY offers a range of technical solutions which wholly meet the Market’s expectations. This transaction, which shall be finalized after receiving the local competition authorities’ approval, enhances the Group’s offer and thus perfectly fits in the AUSY Group’s Growth strategy.
