  Job description

  We are looking for a senior Java developer to join the Operational Strategy team of our client. A view of about sixty thousands points to connect to our client’s Fixed Access Network needs to be developed. The view will be done using Google Earth maps (.kml files). Points, polylines and polygons that need to be connected will be imported in an Oracle geo-spatial database. More specifically:

  • You will develop a data import loader that can be used to reload the data every few months. Things to import: input lists of points and attributes (coming from Excel or another database), polygons of residential zonings,...  The import is into an Oracle Database.
  • You will develop a standalone Java executable to convert this loaded data into a Google Earth file. Executable takes a parameter file from the user for the generation of the Google Earth file. Parameter file approach could become a desktop user interface.
  • You will follow and integrate into current development approach (Eclipse Springsource STS, Spring 3.0, Maven, Launch4j, Oracle, own KML lib, Git version control,...)

  Profile description

  • You have the following technical skills: Java, Oracle (SQL), Spring framework, Maven, Java Swing, XML parsing,…
  • You are fluent in working with new open-source libraries.
  • Experience with Groovy, JPA, Hibernate, Spring Roo, Java web applications, Rich web technologies (Flex, Vaadin, …) or Google maps (Javascript API) is a plus.
  • You are interested in mathematical modeling, optimization, networks or geo-spatial data manipulation.
  • You can work out further requirements with end-user (no detailed specs available).

  Onze klant, actief in de HR-dienstverlening, is op zoek naar een Java/Weblogic Administrator om hun team van system administrators te versterken.

  Je bent hierbij verantwoordelijk voor de volgende taken:

   

  • Je bent verantwoordelijk voor application builds.
  • Je creëert en onderhoudt scripts voor deployment van Java applicaties naar Weblogic.
  • Je onderhoudt de Weblogic-omgeving, en zorgt voor nauwkeurige opvolging van relevante processen o.a. backup & restore, security, performance...
  • Je verleent support aan de developers ivm de weblogic omgeving waar nodig, en werkt nauw samen met systeembeheerders en DBA’s om zich voordoende problemen vlot te verhelpen.
  • Indien nodig voorzie je documentatie in verband met configuratie en deployment procedures.

  Profile description

  • Je hebt stevige kennis van Bea Weblogic adminsitratie of kennis van het beheer van andere webapplicatieservers.
  • Ervaring met application builds en deploys is een must.
  • Je hebt eveneens ruime kennis van Java.
  • Je spreekt vloeiend Nederlands. Kennis van het Frans is een pluspunt maar geen vereiste.
  • Je bent leergierig.
  • Je bent communicatief en houdt van het samenwerken in een gemengd team van developers, system administrators en DBA’s.
